About size of robin or mourning dove (8 - 12"),
bill shorter than depth of head.
About size of sparrow (6-8 "),
looks tiny from a distance,
moving fast.
Usually in shallow water or on beach.

About size of robin or mourning dove (8 - 12"),
bill about as long as head.
